A remarkable dining experience! The best Mediterranean cuisine in NYC. The service was outstanding and the chef was able to accommodate my food allergies with style and panache. Great wine list, too. The most delicious meal I have had in a long time.

Il Buco in Greenwich Village is a timelessly enchanting spot that has been serving a superb Mediterranean menu for close to two decades now.The dcor is so captivating with rustic furniture, copper pots and pans and vases and jars creatively placed and hung all around. The menu is focused on local, seasonal cooking with dishes that change on a daily basis. Every plate we tried was very good with the Croquettas being one of my favorites in the appetizers. I didnt think their house made ricotta was nearly as good as their off shoot Il Buco Alimentari e Vineria one of my favorites. We had a stunning cod, which was perfectly cooked I definitely think that seafood is their strength.I really think that Il Buco is one of New York Cities hidden gems. It may not get written about as much as it deserves but it really doesnt need the fanfare as its food and packed tables speak of themselves. therestaurantfairy.com

Very cute Italian restaurant in Greenwich village. Risotto and canelloni are both excellent and their fruit tart goes really well with the gelato scoop. Would recommend it for a romantic date

I would go there again. Went there on a Saturday night with family and we really enjoyed the food. The menu is small but changes daily. The small plates were the best part of the meal the pastas had good flavor mine but was a little congealed. Definitley go there it always has good reviews.

Horrible service. Average food. And when we paid we were charged double on our credit card. Overall, not so highly recommended.

Not so great. Was there last week. Granted, we were a large group (12). To be brief, way too expensive for what we got. The appetizers were acceptable, not more. The entrees, mediocre. I had the breaded chicken breast with spec and foi gras. It was overcooked – a no no with a breaded chicken breast. No trace of foi gras (I assume it leached out because it was overcooked). I also noticed that some of my fellow diners weren’t too enthusiastic about their pork as it was very fatty and not all that appetizing. I wouldn’t return for what we paid and what we got. However, the atmosphere is really nice and cozy and it seems to be frequented by celebrities, so if you are into that, you’ll love it. Maybe we just had an off experience, but it was a Friday evening, so they should be at the top of their game.
