The spot I frequent whenever I go to a show at The Public Theater. The vibe is vibrant and the ambiance is very lifely. The restaurant has a large bar, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the kitchen is visible from the dining area (always a plus in my book).The food is plated beautifully, taste magnificent, and is generally seasoned well. Their desserts are the star though…we tried two of them and both were spectacular. The only complaint is that my spaghetti had too much garlic, but I did enjoy the spicy aspect of it.The wine selection is quite good, as are their mixed drinks. They also have tasty mocktails, for those who don’t drink. The service was fantastic. Our server was patient, attentive, and had a contagious smile. Seriously, wait staff across NYC could learn a thing or two about service from their personnel.
