Fat Kid Mac n Cheese

This was one of my biggest culinary disappointments in a long time. Chicken and caramelized onion topping was promising, but the crushed Doritos were a bizarre, unexpected addition and the namesake Mac & Cheese itself was quite underwhelming. It remains a mystery to me where all this "rich, creamy, [insert luxurious adjective here]" 7-cheese sauce disappeared to. Noodles were coated with the consistency of a macaroni salad, extremely thin pasta (or just wholly overcooked, either way had zero bite and fell apart or was crushed when trying to pierce with a fork), and nothing to bring to mind any of the descriptors I was promised. Actually I didn't finish the dish, which is saying something when I'm not against visiting worthy food trucks at the office twice in the same day if called for. The fat kid is usually picked last when choosing sides, but in this case I would recommend you just play without him..
