We are our first breakfast in NY here and we really like it! We ordered two bagel sandwiches – with turkey (no 6) and beef (no 7) from the sandwich factory list and they were both delicious and fresh. We also drank hot tea and coffee. The place itself is really simple but friendly. And full of people!
DELICIOUS. I was starving by the time we got here and with the long wait I was wondering if we shouldn’t just go elsewhere. I’m so glad we stayed. This is a perfect slice of southern food in NY. I would say save room for dessert, but that’s impossible, so just be sure to get some cobbler to go.
Pies that go straight to your thighs!!!Actually everything I ate here pretty much went to my hips and thighsSarah Buck, Carolyn Bane and Erika Geldzahlers Pies n Thighs does the two things in their name, just right.They make some really cool pies and a wicked fried chicken!Pies n Thighs prides itself in serving up some good, down home, southern comfort food with Mexican and hippie influences.Dont come here looking for dishes that are fat free but every once in awhile, an artery clogging meal like this, is so good for the soul.Do try their fried chicken, chicken biscuit, brisket sandwich and burger. You must try their flaky, buttery biscuits and the pies are all really good too. I especially liked their banana cream pie and they make a really good Brownie Sundae with homemade Macadamia Brittle ice cream. I wasnt as impressed by their side dishes which sounded good but are very average in taste.Pies n Thighs even offers breakfast and brunch. They dont accept credit cardsits cash only.So you dont have to travel too far South to get some really good Pies n Thighs ..just to the south side of Williamsburg. therestaurantfairy.com
really solid fried chicken, what else can be said. this chicken is similar to how this Alabama boy’s grandmother cooked it and I am happy. way to go Brooklyn.
Just awful! Ordered online, waited 2 hours for delivery, received confirmation food was on its way. Never showed, naturally i called to check the situation and was put on hold, more waiting, this time for close to 10 minutes only to be hung up on. Finally I get someone who tells me they never got the order, but they will refund me! Ok so you didn’t get my order but you magically received my money? Avoid these idiots if you are hungry, there is plenty of choice in this neighborhood.
The place is really a disappointment .. Staff is great very helpful .. but the food is nothing special .. bisquits were cold .. I expected better tasting chicken . Would I recommend going again? Absolutely NOT .. Popeyes has better tasting fried chicken. Other items on the menu were good; the watermelon salad was good
