I had gelato at Grom in Florence (Italy) for the first time and I have’t been able to find a better place to have real Italian ice cream, made with organic ingredients. My absolute favorite flavor is coffee, which is not too sweet and darker than most as it’s made with less milk. Simply the best.
Ordered various things, somehow they can’t believe how could a person as small as me can eat that much gelato. I need to write this before Grom opens its first door in Jakarta. Yes…they are. I almost couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw their name on Pacific Place Mall tenant list. I have ordered Bacio, Caffe, Crema di Grom, Gianduja, Cioccolato Extranoir (my favorite of all since I’m a dark chocolate addict), Nocciola, Cioccolato Fondente, Pistacchio and their Hot Chocolate: Cioccolata Calda Al Gianduja (the best hot chocolate ever!). Can’t wait till you open your first outlet in Jakarta….hurrayyyy…..
Memories…. When I saw GROM it brought back memories of our trip to Rome where we first tried GROM and loved it! I tried their pistachio and apple pie flavour while my husband tried their caramel & almond, apple pie and chocolate. While it was good, it didn’t blow us away like it did when we first tried it. Still, good gelato and perfect for a warm day like today
On the Adriana Trigiani Taste Tour….http://www.grom.it/eng/index.php Grom was one of the stops on the tour. I tried the Bacio which was had a delicuous hazelnut flavor. Loved it!!
Good taste, poor consistency. My wife had two kinds of gelato that she really liked but I can’t remember the names. I ordered a shake made with the cioccolato fondente which tasted incredible. The only problem is that the shake was much too watery, almost the consistency of chocolate milk.
Very disappointing; expected more; service horrible. Nothing special.
Satisfying gelato. Pretty good gelato. Good place for a afternoon sweet treat.
