I was very skeptical going on but left a fan. The chopped liver was wonderful as was the steak and dollar cut potatoes. Dani Luv in the keyboard had us all singin and clapping along.

Hidden jewel in NYC. I have been to many restaurants, bars, comedy shows etc, but Sammy’s Roumanian Steakhouse isI one that tops it for me. It is not your typical wine and dine place, but the atmosphere is just great! At first walking into Sammy’s, you enter a basement which i thought was a bit weird, but as soon as the night began and the food was served along with vodka, the place begins to come alive. The entertainer guy is so talented! You would never think walking into a place like sammy’s that you would hear such a great musician/comedian. He got everyone feeling comfortable with one another to the point that we all started dancing and laughing with each other!Definitely a place to visit. 🙂

Chocolate Egg Creams made at table.. The egg creams were terrific unfortuantely you had to eat that horrible food to get one. Too bad!!!!!!!!!09 Jun, 2011Stuart. If you arer looking for traditional jewish cooking skip thishole in the wall. Prices are excessive and the food quality and taste is horrible. If you are thinking somebody’s jewish mother is in the kitchen think again. Stu’s rating- 5 roaches.

Wonderful. A night to remember that brought back memories of my childhood and the foods my grandmother served. The entertainment was wonderful, the rustic basement appeal was perfect. The portions were large. For a group of eight with gratuity was around $450, worth every penny!

Turn back the calander. This is the last of a real jewish resturant, for the best time do it once in your life . my 4th time and I can’t wait to do it again.
