Came here for breakfast. We were welcomed so nicely & offered sparkling water & coffee before even ordering. Bagel’s were so chewy & made to perfection! Food was presented beautifully & it has such a lovely atmosphere. A few more veggie options would have taken my review to 5. The homemade egg salad & cream cheese was delicious though! I’d happily come back here again next time I’m in NYC.
Even if you reserve ahead of time you are most likely going to wait because of the very high demand. On the bright side, with a bit of patience, you will be served the best bagels in New York.
Those guys from Major Food Group have done it again with a Jewish styled brassiere this time, which of course has become an instant hit.Sadelles is their ode to a quintessential New York bagel shop with all the bells n whistles dressed up in finery. The space is just gorgeous with a throwback feel with white-gloved staff serving fine fish with the utmost courtesy.Hot Bagels are continuously brought out from the bakery, which is in the capable hands co-owner and head baker Melissa Weller. Definitely the best lox bagel I’ve had! Visited here on its second day open and the line was out the door. I waited about a half hour but it was well worth the wait. They have a variety of bagel options (very unique) like everything 2.0 with caraway, fennel and rye and a pumpernickel everything, and a salt and pepper bagel. They slice the fish fresh right in front of you and you can tell everything is super fresh. Great atmosphere too and inside is really cute and exciting! I was so sad when my bagel was over and I ate it all.
Sadelle’s is a great addition to west broadway. Everything at the bagel counter is incredibly fresh. The bagels are replenished throughout the day on long wooden dowels straight out of the oven. The lox and other cured fish is sliced by quarter pound per bagel order. The options are a little limited for a vegetarian who does not eat fish, but they have egg salad or a few cream cheese varieties for the perfect smear on your bagel. The bagels vary from salt&pepper to everything 2.0 to pumpernickel raisin. They are a little on the small side, but very flavorful, super fresh, crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, no need to even toast them. The pastries also go fast, so if you want to get your hands on the chocolate babka, plan on arriving before they open at 8!
