FAKE Italian Restaurant: BE CAREFULL!!You believe to go in an Italian Restaurant but you are going in a South American Restaurant and they should sell Tacos!!They don’t know the Cook Italian Art because All employees are South American…no one is Italian!!They only copy the recipes! And cook food with tons of Butter and Cream (is healthy?) !!The Branzino fish who they sell is Frozen or fresh? Guess!!!The ragu is made with pork (terrific)!!A perfect FAKE Italian restaurant!!

I think its impossible to find a person wh0 doesnt like Italian food which makes sense because its so darn good, and not to mention, extremely prevalent in New York City. Da Marcella Taverna, located in Greenwich Village, is an intimate and rustic spot for those looking for some homestyle Italian dishes. Restauranteur Manuel Moreno opened up shop using mainly original family recipes and chef Francesco Mueses does them justice. The dimly lit restaurant makes you feel like you are dining in a real Italian taverna. And while the atmosphere and old photographs on the wall will charm you, the food is what is really impressive at this locale. To read the full review, head to the blog! manhattanwithatwist.com

Just back in UK from 4-day trip to NY. Best restaurant we ate in. Tasty, home-style Italian cooking with really friendly service in a vibrant, informal atmosphere. And great value for money to boot. Clientele of all ages. The place is pretty small and seems very popular so would strongly advise booking in advance. Seating is mainly on stools adding to its informal ambience.

Great Italian food.. Let me start by saying that I am 100% Italian. I’ve been to Italy about 25 times. DaMarcella is a true gem and it helps that I live right across the street. I cannot rave enough about the food. For appetizers, try the bruschetta smothered with delicious fresh tomatoes, the cozze, or calamaretti fritti. The pasta is out of this world. I love the papardelle alla Fiorentina or with wild boar ragu, or the bucatini amatriciana. Also the short ribs are to die for. Pasta is only $9, meats/fish $16. It’s like stepping into a ristorante in Italy.
