Emilio Is The Man. Great Southern Italian Food, Intimate Service, and a Great Wine List make this one of my favorites.Colorado Rack of Lamb, Spaghetti Bolognese, Tiramisu and the Meatballs are some of my favorites.Ask Emilio for a wine recommendation, he has an extensive collection.
Check it. A place you have probably passed a thousand times on Houston and never noticed (all the construction on the street doesn’t help either) but if you do step inside you’ll find a lovely room, warm and inviting with delicious traditional southern Italian fare — the house made mozzarella is the best I’ve had outside Italy. And I love that Emilio the owner sits at a big table in the front with his pals from the hood – old school style.
