Stopped by here after having a few drinks near wall st. Can’t ever deny a ramen craving! A very simple over the counter look to the place, with a few sit down areas. The create your be to bowl reminds me chiptole, jap style! I got the Brooklyn blend ramen with pork belly and an extra egg, yum! Spices were abundant and the flavor was definitely mouth watering. My girl friend ordered the tofu ramen burger. Although I’m not a fan of tofu that was also very delicious. We got the peach ginger black tea as our drink, nice and lite. Overall a very pleasant experience.

One of the discernible downsides to graduating from college is that ramen is no longer considered an acceptable meal or so I thought. In New York, the realm of food possibilities reaches far beyond a junk food junkies wildest fever dreams, assuaging my fear of having to relinquish the salty snacks I hold so dear. Behold: the ramen burger.Word of this perfect pairing reached me before I even got to Smorgasburg, the weekly Brooklyn food festival where the now-famous ramen burger got its east coast start. The recipe itself is simple but well-crafted: a ground beef chuck patty sandwiched between freshly cut ramen noodle buns and topped with scallions, arugula, and a special shoyu glaze made by ramen burger mastermind Keizo Shimamoto (American cheese can be added for a little extra!).If you have a salt tooth like me, the ramen burger is your holy grail. Its salt on salt on juicy salt, with a sweet kick courtesy of the shoyu glaze. Not to be missed, the ramen burger evokes the feeling of carnival food: a rightfully famous delicacy that is heavy on the stomach but worth every bite. instagram.com
