Rude Neighbours. These folks have kept their music going strong til 10:55, not cool in a residential neighborhood. 2nd night in a row, I frequent the businesses around here as much as I can and I will not cross the threshold of the Blue Bistro until they treat their community better.

Schizophrenic Dining. Is it fine dining or a sports bar? Perhaps a jazz club with too much light. I don’t think they really know what affect they are trying for since they have so many going on at the same time. Bottom line, the food is awful. Most of it tired small plates that are underseasoned tasteless and truely,as advertised, small. Not worth the time or money.

Food worth the trip at a Jazz-blues bistro. Often in music venues, food is an afterthought. Not at Bleu Bistro. Four of us arrived early to a near-empty restaurant. Sometimes this bodes ill for the service. Not at Bleu Bistro. Our server (Lade by name) seated us and took our drinks order promptly (they have some quality wines by the glass for $5!). The calamari arrived crisp-tender as described, although lacking in salt. The beef sliders had no such issue. They were well- seasoned and popped with beefy flavor. Mushrooms stuffed with Italian sausage had an appealing flavor and lovely texture. The sweetness and depth of the roasted Brussels sprouts would win over a hardened skeptic. A standout among these excellent small plates was the smoked blue marlin dip served with crostini. The flavor was intense and unctuous. We’ll be back soon to try more. And before 6, most of the small plates are half-priced!
